Key Findings:
- Imran 41%, Mariga 27%, Owalo 18%, Others / Undecided 14%
- The top key issues are Education / bursaries, Unemployment and Access roads.
- The most effective campaign strategy is Door-to-Door; Candidates should adopt a door-to-door and small barazas campaign strategy, which addresses specific key issue within a given area / kijiji
- Majority of male voters in four wards ie Makina, Laini Saba, Lindi and Sarang’ombe are labourers working on Thursday 7th November 2019 (Election date), so there is a likelihood of low voters’ turnout.
- Campaigns should concentrate more on women (and youths) running small businesses within the constituency, as opposed to casual labourers; Due to past violence experienced during electioneering period, a good number of residents have registered to vote upcountry.
